The Bottom Line

Transparency & AccuracyIcon

Transparency & Accuracy

2.7

There is some information about who Elevate is as a company and the members of the team, which includes a chiropractor and pet trainer. However, there is not a lot of information about their manufacturing process, extraction process, or if there are contaminants in their products. The lab reports only tests for potency. They have no FDA complaints and are not currently accredited by the BBB.

Hemp QualityIcon

Hemp Quality

3.8

There is not a lot of information about the framing, and extraction process that Elevate uses. They do not specify if they are organic or sustainable. Plus, we do not know their extraction type. They third-party test their products, but many reports are not available and the majority of QR codes we tried did not work.

Customer ExperienceIcon

Customer Experience

4.7

Overall the website is very easy to use and well organized. Shopping and looking at product options is easy. However, when we reached out to customer service, we did not receive a response. Shipping is free for orders over $50 and they allow returns within 30-days of purchase..

Variety of ProductsIcon

Variety of Products

4.4

Elevate offers a wide range of product types and flavors. Currently they have tinctures, capsules, gummies and other edibles, pet products, and topicals.

Price & DiscountsIcon

Price & Discounts

4.2

Elevate’s products are priced very competitively. Many of their CBD products are around $0.05 to $0.08 per mg of CBD. Some of the creams are prices closer to $0.20. Overall. They are just below average price-wise. They have some discounts such as 15% off your first order and a points system. They do not have any discounts for special populations like veterans. To learn more about how we compare prices for CBD, look at our pricing report.

What sets Elevate CBD apart from its competitors

Elevate CBD has very reasonable prices. Plus, they have a medical professional on their team to assess the product formulations and efficacy of the products.

Pros: Cons:
  • Medical professional on the company team
  • Very reasonable prices
  • Large variety of products
  • Free shipping for orders over $50
  • Delicious tincture flavors
  • Many missing lab reports & non-functional QR codes
  • No response from customer service
  • No information about extraction process, organic or sustainable farming
  • No contaminant testing
  • No discounts for veterans or special populations

Methodology

  • Read our methodology for more details about ranking and our review process.

    Data Collection and Rating

In our review process, we receive CBD products directly from the brand to personally review ourselves, so we can give you an accurate idea of the packaging, potency, taste, smell, feel, and overall experience of each product. We also discuss the company’s shipping and returns policy.
Another important step we take is reviewing each individual product for details such as the certificate of analysis to assess the CBD level and CBD variance, THC level, and contaminants.
We take all factors into account and give each CBD brand and each CBD product a score for each parameter.
All of the information we collect is generated into a concise, easy to read review and put into our extensive database. Keep in mind, our reviews are never intended to substitute or act as medical advice.

    Product DataBase

Our database collects key information for each product, including CBD product prices, potencies, third-party lab test results, flavors, additional ingredients, hemp quality, extract types, product variety, and more.
We then use all of this combined data to give each brand and product a standardized rating out of five points.

    Brand Review Process

There are many factors we consider when we review the quality, integrity and products of a CBD brand. We rate each brand on several factors including:

    • Transparency & accuracy. It is important that a CBD brand is forthcoming with who makes up their team, their mission, manufacturing process, and lab reports. Also, we look for the accuracy of the CBD and THC levels in the products’ lab reports.
    • Hemp quality. Hemp quality can be a deciding factor between a good CBD brand and a great CBD brand. We look for organic and sustainable farming methods with attention to detail in each manufacturing step.
    • The variety of products they offer. We like to see several CBD product types and flavors.
    • Customer service. It is essential that each CBD company has multiple ways to connect to customer service to ask questions. We look for speedy and complete responses.
    • Price and discounts. Competitive pricing is an important aspect of being a top-rated CBD brand. We also look for discount options and ways to save on your order.

    Market Reports

Another way Leafreport stands out from other CBD review websites is our evidence-based market reports. For each one, we purchase different types of CBD products and send them for independent lab testing to check whether their levels of CBD and other cannabinoids match the label.

    Information Updates

Writers and editors conduct our reviews and our database on an annual basis but continually make updates throughout the year. We maintain frequent contact with brands and highlight any changes in offerings.

    The Review Team

Our review team is made up of a wide chain of qualified CBD review writers, some with medical degrees, some with statistics backgrounds, others with ample experience in the CBD arena. Each and every one of our CBD reviews are approved by our medical reviewer before being published on our website to ensure all information is accurate.

    Conflicts of Interest

While Leafreport does have partnerships with many of the reviewed brands, we manage potential conflicts of interest by maintaining a wall between our content and business operations. This wall is designed to prevent our writers and the review process from being influenced or impacted by our business partnerships. This way, all reviews can provide an unbiased review that serves the interests of our users.

    About the Company

Elevate CBD is a CBD company that is dedicated to bringing people and pets high-quality CBD that has been created under the supervision and advice of experts in the field. Chiropractor, Dr. Paul Bove and pet trainer Nancy Cusick are specialists that are involved with testing and formulation of Elevate products. This brand is one of the first and only accepted into national Chain Drug Stores, Grocery Outlets, and Food/Healthcare Distributors.

Their headquarters are in Telford, PA. To contact customer service, there is a phone number, email address, and message box.

As a part of our reputation check, we check BBB, FDA warnings, and more to see if there are any complaints or warnings about the brand. Currently, there are no FDA complaints for Elevate CBD. They are not currently BBB accredited, and do not have a score.

The website has a comprehensive FAQ page with questions and answers about CBD, its use, as well as some specifics about the company’s growing practices. However, the CBD 101 page has many inaccuracies.

Elevate CBD third-party tests their products for CBD and THC levels. We assess the results for their CBD cooling cream. There is a batch number and QR code on our product. The QR code was functional and took us to the lab report. The report showed there is 74.56mg of CBD per bottle, which is 4.56mg more than listed for a CBD variance of 6%. This is within 10% CBD variance. The THC was undetectable and the sample was not tested for contaminants.

    Manufacturing Process

The hemp used in Elevate CBD’s products is non-GMO and grown in the USA. They do not specify exactly where their farms are or any other specifics of the hemp plant selection or breeding.

All of their products are manufactured in FDA registered and cGMP facilities in the USA. Plus, all products are third-party tested for purity and potency in independent labs. Reports for this testing are available on their website. It is unclear what their extraction method is, or if their farms are sustainable/organic. We asked their customer service, but did not get a response.

We received Elevate’s CBD drops in four flavors: fresh mint, lemon, wild berry, and cinnamon. Each product is packaged in a green cardboard box. The tincture is contained in a glass bottle with dropper lid. The bottles are 15ml and contain 150mg of full-spectrum CBD along with MCT oil and natural flavors. They do not indicate the extraction process. The instructions are to shake well and place drops under the tongue for 30-90 seconds.

Each oil smells and tastes exactly like it’s respective flavor. There are no earthy hemp undertones and overall the flavors are pleasant and potent. The oil is clear and thin in consistency – similar to water.

Each bottle has a batch number and a QR code. We scanned the QR code to retrieve the lab results, which was not functional. None of the lab reports that matched our product’s batch numbers were available. We assessed the available lab report for the lemon CBD drops which showed there were no microbes and 0.02% THC, which is below the 0.3% cutoff. There was 144mg of CBD which is 6mg less than listed for a CBD variance of 4%. This is within the 10% acceptable limit.

    Who is this product for?

This product is ideal for people who are looking for delicious, full-spectrum CBD tinctures that are very well-priced.

We received the CBD gummies in a 12-count, plastic bottle. Each gummy contains 25mg of full-spectrum CBD along with glucose syrup, sugar, gelatin, natural and artificial flavor and color. These are not vegan-friendly due to the gelatin. The flavors are sour apple, fruit punch, and blue raspberry. Unfortunately our gummies melted before they were delivered, so we were unable to taste them.

There is a batch number, but no QR code on our product. There was no lab report for the gummies posted on their certificate of analysis page, so we could not assess any lab reports.

We received the CBD dog treats, which come in a plastic tub. They are made with 5mg of broad-spectrum CBD, brewer’s yeast, brown rice flour, vinegar, canola oil, hemp oil, bacon flavor and vanilla flavor as well as other all-natural ingredients. There are 60 chews per tub. The chews are in the shape of bones, brown in color, and have a meaty smell. The suggested dosage depends on the weight and side of the dog.

The tub has a batch number and a QR code. We scanned the QR code to retrieve the lab results, which were not functional. The posted lab reports did not match our product’s batch numbers. We assessed the available lab report which showed the THC is 0.0016% which is below the 0.3% cutoff. There was 4.69mg of CBD which is 0.31mg less than listed for a CBD variance of 6%. This is within the 10% acceptable limit.
