The Bottom Line

Product Variety

The Hemp Doctor CBD offers a variety of premium quality, organic, broad and full spectrum CBD products that are available in tinctures, vape cartridges, whole flower, pre-rolls, softgels, isolate, edibles, pet products, and topicals. Their products range from 2 mg to 3000 mg of total CBD, and are extracted using a CO2 extraction process. Additionally, some products are further formulated with nanoemulsion and water-soluble technologies, and all finished products are tested by DEA-approved  independent third party labs.

Transparency, Accuracy & Reputation

The accuracy variances for our “The Hemp Doctor” CBD products concerning potency are excellent, with all checked products testing at or below the acceptable 10% variance limit allowed and four products checked testing above that limit. All five ordered products checked passed purity testing for pesticides, solvents, microbials, and heavy metals—which are available for customer access on the product pages and a centralized hub online.

Their hemp is all sourced from organic U.S. farms in Colorado and North Carolina for a phytocannabinoid-rich crop. They offer premium organic, broad and full spectrum hemp that is promised by the company to be organically grown and sustainably sourced, as well as pesticide and solvent-free and non-GMO. They use a CO2 extraction process and integrate their proprietary CO2 during formulation of certain products.

About the Company

Established in 2019, The Hemp Doctor is a 100% organic brand committed to their customers and quality, according to owner Cindy Shade, who lives in Mooresville, North Carolina. They offer a complete line of CBD, hemp, and Delta 8 THC products for people and pets, from isolate powder, to edibles, to whole hemp flowers. All of these products are third party tested by DEA certified labs, per the company website, and their goal is to provide safe, accessible, affordable products for all users. On their company “Blog,” located in the main menu, The Hemp Doctor strives to educate consumers about all cannabinoids and their role with the endocannabinoid system, as well as provides helpful links to articles, such as “Guide On THC Types” and “How To Read A COA.” They manufacture all of their organic products in a GMP-certified facility.

Transparency

Independent CBD testing is a necessary quality and safety control tool to ensure that the labeled amounts of CBD and THC are identical to the contents of each final product a customer receives. The Hemp Doctor CBD has a centralized lab testing link on their company homepage under the “Lab Results” link on the main menu. All of the products in our The Hemp Doctor order were third party tested for CBD and THC potency. Standard purity tests for foreign contaminants such as heavy metals, microbials and mycotoxins were passed, according to each corresponding product page online.

Accuracy

Using the centralized lab testing hub and corresponding product pages, it was easy to match the ordered products with the independent third party lab results for potency. As far as the highest accuracy variance in this order, the 1000 mg lemon tincture tested with 1107 total mg of CBD, which is a 10.79% accuracy variance which is at the acceptable 10% limit. The lowest accuracy variance was found in the 600 mg Delta 8 THC gummy bears, which tested with 610 total mg, or 30.5 per serving size of 1 gummy bear. This is an accuracy variance of 1.6% and well below the 10% variance limit allowed.

All full and broad spectrum products were confirmed by independent third party testing to contain less than the legal 0.3% limit of THC, or no THC was detected, except in their labeled “Delta 8 THC” products which are advertised as such by the company.

Reputation

Initially established as a full and broad spectrum CBD brand, The Hemp Doctor has built a reputation on their organic process that enriches the quality of their natural proprietary CBD strains, and they have a loyal customer base that voluntarily leaves reviews for various products, scattered throughout the product pages. After listening to customer feedback, The High Doctor invested in research and development before branching off into the hemp-derived Delta-8 THC market in 2020 –a category in which their products are best sellers, according to the company website and Google reviews.

Manufacturing Process

The Hemp Doctor CBD company is a legal, authorized grower of premium U.S. hemp, sourced from organic farms in Colorado and North Carolina using organic farming methods. Their hemp-derived, broad and full spectrum CBD products are extracted using either a CO2 or a nanoemulsion technology extraction process for maximum bioavailability, according to the company.

After formulation, the next step is independent third party CBD testing, which is an important safety and quality control measure utilized by The Hemp Doctor to ensure that the labeled potency of CBD and THC matches the contents. They conduct independent potency lab testing for all of their products and post the available results on their website under the “Lab Results” link located on the main menu and on each individual product page.
