The Bottom line

Savage CBD does not provide a great deal of information on their website about the brand or formation of the company. However, they do offer a large variety of CBD products such as tinctures, topicals, epsom salts, pet products, and more. They are dedicated to helping as many people as possible with a wide assortment of cannabidiol items.

The brand Savage initially made a name for itself with e-liquids but they now offer a variety of CBD items at affordable prices. Their per milligram price hovers at less than $0.13 per milligram which makes this an average priced CBD brand. Their CBD cartridges range in price from $26.99 to $46.99. They offer a bundle that includes two isolate cartridges for $39.98 which works out to about $0.11 to $0.13 per mg. The full line of edibles range in price from $6.99 to $90.99 which works out to $0.12 to $0.31 per mg. Their Epsom salt price of $19.99 for an 8-ounce jar which works out to $0.16 per mg. Flower prices run from $4.00 to $11.00. CBD pet items range from $39.99 to $48.99 which yields a price of $0.09 to $0.10 per mg. Pens are $39.99 which works out to $0.13 per mg. Tinctures are $99.99 to $149.99 depending on potency which works out to $0.07 per mg. Topicals range from $24.99 to $59.99 which is $0.15 to $0.45 per mg. A vape juice two pen package is priced at $44.08 which is $0.06 per mg.

The company uses CO2 extraction to ensure a pure product. All of the hemp used is purchased from various farmers located in Oregon, Colorado, Wisconsin, and some parts of Europe. However, Savage does test a 5g sample of all of the hemp that they purchase to ensure it contains no solvents, heavy metals, or pesticides. They also check potency. Their standard of potency for an item is +5 or – 5 percent of the stated quantity of CBD. Our testing found that they meet the standard. In addition, they provide third party testing on the final products.

About the company

There is not a lot of information available about the company on the website. We had to perform a search to gather additional information. Even a call to the company did not reveal anything substantial. I simply asked if shipping was completely free in the USA, even to Hawaii or Alaska. I was told that it was with no purchase limitations. The customer service was very friendly and responsive. The company’s origins are rooted in e-liquid but they have branched out to offer a large range of CBD products.

Chris Wheeler founded the company after extensive experience in managing and owning vape shops throughout Southern California. The company quickly gained a reputation because it offered a variety of e-liquid flavors that other brands did not.

The labels on each of the products contains information such as supplement facts, usage instructions, and CBD and THC content. Each label is easy to read and informative. If you do not obtain adequate information from the product’s label then you can check out the product page online which is also informative.

Savage CBD uses only CO2 extraction to ensure purity. The solventless extraction method is considered the gold standard. All of their products also go through third party laboratory testing.

Overall, the data that they provide is acceptable. There is a FAQ on their website that answers all of the basic questions such as those related to shipping.

We compared two of Savage CBD’s products and we found that they meet the criteria set forth in the lab results. The CBD and THC content is accurate, the product is clean, there are no solvent residuals, no organic residuals, and the products were free of e coli and yeast.

Manufacturing Process

Even though Savage CBD’s prices are lower than many other brands, they do not skimp on their extraction process. They use the gold standard, CO2 extraction, to ensure that they create a truly solventless product.

Their hemp is sourced throughout Oregon, Wisconsin, Colorado, and even Europe. However, prior to using any of the hemp in their manufacturing process, Savage CBD first puts it through stringent testing to ensure there are no solvents, heavy metals, or pesticides in the crop.

Savage uses third party laboratory testing on their products. We looked over two of the lab results. For their topical cream, the lab results reveal that it contains less than 0.03 THC. It contains no pesticides, heavy metals or solvents. The results show the cream passed all tests.

We also looked over the lab results for Savage CBD Vape Juice. Below are the lab reports that show it passed all tests. There are no discernable levels of heavy metals, pesticides, solvents, or other dangerous substances. The batch numbers were a match to the product we purchased. Also, the report was readily available on the site.

The calculation for the deviation of the Savage 500mg CBD from the stated potency was 4.4% which is well within the acceptable range. The label states that it contains 500mg of CBD and the lab results show 522mg for an acceptable variance of 4.4%.

The Full Spectrum CBD Lotion’s label says it contains 300mg of CBD but the lab results showed it contained 459.039 CBD which is a variance of 53%. This is far in excess of the acceptable variance of 10%.

Below is an image of the lab result that appears when you use your smartphone to scan the QR code.

Buying Experience

They offer a pleasant buying experience. Simply select your items and place them in the online cart. You can then pay using any major credit card. Shipping in the USA is always free. They do not offer international shipping. It takes about 7 to 10 days to receive your order. They do not offer any upgrade to premium/faster delivery.

The products came in a premium large envelope. The items were not wrapped in bubble wrap or any sort of padding but luckily none were damaged or broken. The labels on the products were easy to read and offer dosage suggestions plus supplement information. There is also a barcode that you can scan using a smartphone to view the lab results. Your phone is simply directed to Savage’s site with the lab results. .

Savage does not offer a return policy. There are absolutely no refunds, exchanges, or returns.

I spoke on the phone with customer service. They were very friendly and appeared knowledgeable. I asked them if the shipping was free on all orders or if there a minimum purchase amount required. They informed me it was free shipping throughout the USA so I then asked if that meant the entire USA or were there additional charges for Alaska or Hawaii. I was informed that there was no additional charge. Customer service was friendly and knowledgeable.

Their contact information was very easy to find online

I thought I would start with the yummy Savage product first. This is a dry powder lemonade that is laced with 125 mg of CBD. You simply add water. I am a lemonade lover and I was very pleased with this product. It smells delicious and the taste is like that of any other famous lemonade brand. It was cool and refreshing. Be sure to add ice to your beverage to really maximize it’s refreshing and uplifting flavor.

This lavishly smooth cream contains 300 mg of CBD. It goes on smooth and does not leave a sticky residue behind. The lotion is a soft white. It absorbs well into the skin. The smell of the lotion is very soft and subtle. You can definitely detect the lavender and faint citrus undertones. My skin smelled wonderful after using this cream.

Revive Wellness Shot is an energy drink that contains CBD. The smell and flavor is reminiscent of citrus fruits. I enjoyed the small shot. It is an easy drink that tasted yummy.

Savage Lemon Lime Full Spectrum

The Savage Lemon Lime Full Spectrum oil boasts a wonderful flavor. I did not detect any planty undertones that are so common in a full spectrum oil. The one we tried was a low dose 50mg product which is no longer available but the flavor was the same as the higher dose full spectrum oil.

Savage Tranquil CBD Vape Juice

This is a premium vape juice that offers 500mg of CBD. Savage made a name for themselves with e-liquids. If you plan on using a CBD vape then definitely check out this juice.

If you enjoy discreet, disposable CBD pens then you’ll enjoy the Savage Sweet Dreams 250mg Pen. The pen is very nicely made and works effectively. This one had a Grape Ape flavor which many people who enjoy cannabis find highly palatable. It makes a nice vape and fits into your pocket or purse.
