The Bottom Line

My review of Highline Wellness is excellent. They have a single source for their certified organic, broad spectrum hemp, located in Chowchilla, California. Highline Wellness is a premium CBD brand, based on the quality of their hemp, the accuracy of their product labeling and corresponding third party lab test potency results, and the variety of potencies offered.

They carry a wider range of CBD potencies than comparable brands, offering broad spectrum products from 10 mg to 3000 mg. Their product catalog includes CBD gummies, topicals including beauty and skincare, tinctures, and a pet product. Their prices range from $7.00 up to $130.00, and the average price point at Highline Wellness is $.11, meaning that they do have moderately priced CBD products compared to other brands in the market.

Concerning independent third party lab results, the accuracy variances for these products are all well below the 10% variance allowed, and the Highline Wellness CBD products did pass purity testing for all pesticides and heavy metals. They offer free shipping on every purchase over $35, and a 30 day money back satisfaction guarantee on all products.

Pros: Cons:
  • USDA certified organic, non-GMO
  • Subscription savings
  • Interest and fee free payment plan option through Sezzle service
  • $35 minimum order required for free shipping
  • Currently unable to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Nebraska, Idaho, South Dakota

About the Company

Highline Wellness was established to serve their growing consumer base online, and they took their time before releasing their line of CBD products. To this end of helping people, Highline Wellness has a self-published dosing guide, a guide for newcomers, and a microdosing guide, because their mission is to create a “more pleasant world, one dose at a time”. They accomplish this goal by providing natural, affordable, and accessible CBD products, according to the company website.

Transparency

Independent CBD testing is a vital quality and safety control measure to ensure that the labeled amounts of CBD and THC are very close to the contents of each final product a customer receives.

Highline Wellness products reportedly undergo a rigorous testing process, which consists of making sure the hemp crop is free of contaminants and testing every batch for potency and quality, according to the company.

All of the products in my Highline Wellness order were third party tested for the standard CBD and THC potency and terpene profiles, as well as purity tested for most contaminants. All of the third party lab results for Highline Wellness products are scattered throughout the main website, and each individual product page lists only the corresponding lab results for one product at a time, as seen here:

After viewing them on corresponding product pages scattered throughout the website, however, I emailed and requested the potency tests from customer service, who informed me that the company has a newly updated centralized testing results hub located at https://highlinewellness.com/pages/certificates-of-analysis.

Accuracy

Using the new centralized independent third party lab results hub and the individual product links, It was easy to match my products to the reports. As far as the lab results for the 10 mg Immunity gummies, this product had 9.1 mg of CBD per serving (1 piece), which is less CBD total than the 300 mg label with 275.6 mg total CBD. This is under the acceptable 10% variance at 8.1%. The product contained 0% THC.

The lab report for their batch of their 500 mg topical fitness cream had a 10.8% variance in CBD with 554.2 total mg of CBD. The 500 mg lab report for their mint tincture had a CBD variance of 1.3% with 506 mg of total CBD. Both products are below the acceptable 10% variance limit. All products in the order tested under the legal 0.3% THC limit with 0% detected. These three products passed purity testing for residuals, solvents, pesticides, and heavy metals.

Reputation

Established in 2019, after eight months of CBD consumer feedback, Highline Wellness launched their diverse CBD product catalog to offer natural health and wellness options to their loyal customers and the public. They have a company page, The Highline Blog, that offers insightful information on CBD uses, benefits, research, and community education.

As they say online on their main company website, “We’re in this together,” and Highline Wellness is committed to being a trusted CBD partner to their customers by not only producing great supplements, but also by sharing scientific knowledge and suggested uses for their Highline Wellness CBD products through education and their dosage guides.

Manufacturing Process

Highline Wellness is a legal, authorized grower of premium hemp, and all of the products are single sourced from a USDA certified organic California hemp farm. All of their CBD products are manufactured in a GMP certified facility, which means the facility is committed to following all FDA regulations and manufacturing standards.

Highline Wellness uses a clean CO2 extraction method to safely remove cannabidiol from their USDA certified organic hemp without using solvents. They formulate each of their CBD products with easily digestible MCT oil as the carrier for maximum bioavailability.

After formulation, the next step is independent third party CBD testing, which is an important quality and safety control measure utilized by Highline Wellness to ensure that the labeled potency of CBD and THC matches the contents. According to the company, they conduct thorough independent third party lab testing for all of their products, and they publish the results online for viewing.

Range of Products

They offer premium quality, certified organic, broad spectrum CBD that is available in tincture oils, topicals, edibles, as well as pet products. Their products range from 10 mg to 3000 mg of CBD content, and are moderately priced compared to other brands, with an average price point of $.11 per mg of CBD.

Buying Experience

Each product page provides comprehensive product information for each item in that category, as well as ingredients, potencies, and suggested uses. There is an easy way to shop all products by category using the handy toolbar located in the main menu, and Highline Wellness also offers their unique “Product Finder” tool to help consumers find the CBD delivery method and potency that best suits them:

All of the third party lab results available for the Highline Wellness CBD product catalog are located throughout the website under the “Lab Results” link on every corresponding product page online; however, the company also has a newly updated centralized testing results hub located at https://highlinewellness.com/pages/certificates-of-analysis.

Customer support was contacted through their online chat feature, located as a floating widget on every page, concerning where to locate the return policy for their products. My agent replied quickly on the same business day with the information requested, guiding me to the correct page. While there is not a simplified FAQ section on the company website, customer service advised me that consumers can click on the “Terms and Conditions” link at the bottom of every page to read detailed information on all of the Highline Wellness policies, including refunds and returns.

All orders get free standard shipping with a $35 order minimum, or free two day shipping with orders over $75. Otherwise, cost is calculated upon checkout. Most orders will ship within two business days. A confirmation email with tracking number was received. The order arrived in a plain brown box within 4 business days of placing it online, but the plain package received was not discreet. The company name is clearly visible on the outside of the box. The products were securely packaged and the package contained individual items.

Products Reviewed

Mint Tincture Oil, 500 mg, 30 ml

This CO2 extracted broad spectrum tincture is translucent and colorless or clear in appearance. There are visible measuring marks on the dropper. The viscosity is a bit thicker than other tinctures, but this oil was not messy. The all natural mint flavor is not overpowering. This tincture is formulated with MCT oil, and is recommended by the company for oral and sublingual use only.

There were 506.6 mg of CBD in this product, which is a 1.3% variance from the labeled 100 mg and well under the allowed 10% limit, according to the third party lab results. Highline Wellness directs users to shake tincture bottles thoroughly, and advise consumers to wait 30 seconds before swallowing. This product can also be added to food or beverages, per the corresponding product pages. This tincture is priced at $50.00, which is $.10 per mg of CBD.

Fitness Cream, 250 mg, 1.7 oz

This broad spectrum topical product is white in color and rubs into the skin very easily, leaving no residue. It smells of menthol and the cooling sensation is felt immediately upon application to the skin. This cream tested at 554.2 mg of CBD in the labeled 500 mg container, which is a 10.8% variance, slightly in excess of the acceptable limit. No THC was detected, according to the third party lab reports.

Directions for use by the company are to apply generously to skin and massage until fully absorbed. Suggested uses by the company are to apply to tight neck and shoulder muscles for targeted relief of muscle pain, but we have not tested these outcomes. This product is priced at $35.00, which calculates out to $.14 per mg of CBD.

Immunity Gummies, 300 mg, 10 mg each, 30 count

These new broad spectrum edible gummies undergo a CO2 extraction process before being formulated with natural corn syrup. They do contain gelatin, however, so they are not a vegan product. The assorted fruit flavor Immunity gummies were juicy and tasted like real fruit. These had 9.1 mg of CBD per 10 mg piece, for a total of 275.6 total mg in the 300 mg labeled product. This is under the 10% variance allowed at 8.1%. There was a non detectable amount of THC, confirmed by the third party lab results.

This product is priced at $35.00, which equals $.11 per mg of CBD. According to the company, these new broad spectrum CBD Immunity gummies, with vitamin C and zinc, can be an essential tool in combating illness, serving to help boost the body’s immune system, but we have not tested this ourselves.

Relief Roller, 100 mg, 10 ml

This broad spectrum topical product is a new addition to the Highline Wellness catalog, and its compact size delivers convenient and discreet CBD applications. Suggested uses by the company are to apply to specific pain points or areas of pressure to give relief discreetly, but we have not tested this ourselves. This roller smells pleasantly like the peppermint, eucalyptus and citrus essential oils included as ingredients. It applied smoothly and the visible oil from application soaked into the skin quickly, leaving no oily residue.

This product had a total of 115 total mg of CBD in the 100 mg labeled roller, which is over the 10% variance allowed at 15%. It had a non detectable amount of THC, confirmed by the third party lab results. This new topical is priced at $18.00, which is $.18 per mg of CBD. Suggested uses by the company are to relieve stress, tension, and headaches in a swift manner by targeted application to pulse points, such as wrists, temples, and forehead, but we have not tested this ourselves. Directions are to use directly on affected areas as often as necessary.
