About the Company

Batch CBD by Wisconsin Hemp Scientific was established in 2018 by three friends: Dennis Mistroity, Andy Gould, and Griffin Lynch to offer premium quality, sustainably grown, organic CBD products to consumers in need. Their company, based in Sussex, Wisconsin, sources only local hemp and offers customers the option to see how the Batch CBD brand has grown throughout the years using the “View Timeline” link located in the main menu.

Transparency

Independent CBD testing is a necessary quality and safety control tool to ensure that the labeled amounts of CBD and THC are very close to the contents of each final product a customer receives. Batch CBD has a centralized lab testing link on their company homepage under the “Lab Reports” link at the bottom of every page online under “Products.” All of the products in our Batch order were third party tested for CBD and THC potency.

Purity tests for foreign contaminants, such as pesticides, solvents, microbials, and heavy metals, were performed on all products, despite their organic designation. They use an HPLC machine to test for cannabinoids in every batch of their organic hemp in house.

Accuracy

Using the centralized lab testing hub, it was easy to match five of the ordered products with the independent third party lab results for potency. Customer service was emailed concerning the lab results for purity, which they easily provided. As far as the highest accuracy variance in this order, the 2000 mg full spectrum, organic original tincture tested as containing 2154.30 total mg of CBD, which represents a 7.7% accuracy variance, lower than the acceptable 10% limit.

The lowest accuracy variance was found in 3000 mg full spectrum, organic softgels, which tested as containing 2986.5 total mg of CBD, or 99.55 mg per 2 softgels. This calculates to an accuracy variance of a mere .45%, well below the 10% variance limit allowed. All full spectrum products were confirmed by independent third party testing to contain less than the legal 0.3% limit of THC, and all purity tests for foreign contaminants were passed, according to the full range of purity testing results provided by customer service.

Reputation

Batch CBD was founded in Sussex, Wisconsin to utilize available, organic, ethically grown local hemp farms in order to control and safeguard the entire CBD process from seed to final sale through their vertically integrated business structure. They are committed to organic and sustainable practices and have partnered with the national One Tree Planted organization to give back to the communities they serve. Batch also has a loyal and satisfied customer base who have given them a five star rating overall, as seen on their website alongside numerous unsolicited customer reviews, comments, and feedback.

Manufacturing Process

Batch is a legal, authorized grower of premium organic U.S. hemp. Their hemp derived, full and broad spectrum CBD products are extracted using food grade ethanol before being formulated with easily digestible MCT oil as the carrier for maximum bioavailability. After formulation, the next step is independent third party CBD testing, which is an important safety and quality control measure utilized by Batch to ensure that the labeled potency of CBD and THC matches the contents.

They conduct independent potency lab testing for all of their products and post the available results on their website under the “Lab Reports” link located on the very bottom of each page under the “Products” heading. Any absent test results for purity or potency can be requested from customer service, who will provide any lab results not listed online.

Range of Products

Batch offers premium quality, vegan, organic CBD products that are available in full spectrum tinctures, topicals, and specialty edibles including softgels, gummies, and mint chocolate bars. Their products range from 10 mg to 4000 mg in potency and are lower than average priced when compared to other organic brands, with an overall price point average of $.07 per mg of CBD.

CBD Tinctures

These food grade ethanol extracted, vegan, organic tinctures are offered in full spectrum formulations only at this time. The company suggests that consumers start with a dose of ⅓ of a dropper, which is .33 ml. There are visible measuring marks on the dropper for precise dosing. The tinctures are formulated with MCT oil for easy digestion, and are offered in six specialized varieties. They are suggested by the company for oral or sublingual use, or a tincture can be added to beverages or food.
