The Bottom Line

My review of Nature & Bloom is good. They are an above average CBD brand based on the quality of their hemp, their commitment to using natural ingredients, their fast customer service, and their dedication to utilizing sustainable agricultural and packaging practices. They rely on sun grown hemp over artificial lighting, for example.

Their product catalog includes CBD topicals and skin care, concentrates, tinctures, and vape products. Nature & Bloom carries a wide range of CBD potencies, offering broad spectrum products from 250 mg to 1500 mg. A money back satisfaction guarantee is offered for 14 days on all products, and they do ship internationally.

With prices ranging from $32.95 up to $117.87, the Nature & Bloom concentrate crumble equals a low $.04 to $.06 price per mg of CBD, which is a low price point when compared to other brands with comparable products.

Their tincture drops are moderately priced at a $.08 price point average, but these proprietary tincture drops give customers 10 ml of product, compared to the typical 30 ml size bottles most commonly found in the current CBD tincture market. Nature & Bloom’s highest price point is $.15 per mg of CBD for their topicals and vape cartridges. Their average price point overall is $.10, meaning that Nature & Bloom does have slightly lower priced CBD products than other comparable mid-range brands.

The accuracy variances for these Nature & Bloom products are all around the 10% variance allowed. However, to the best of our knowledge, these products were not tested for the standard residuals, solvents, pesticides, heavy metals, or other foreign contaminants. When consumers click on the company’s online “Third Party Tests” link at this time, the CBD potency lab reports are the only results posted by Nature & Bloom. If all purity tests were available, then this rating would improve.

Pros: Cons:
  • International tracked shipping offered
  • Organic, non-GMO premium quality hemp
  • Sustainable farming and manufacturing practices
  • Inadequate purity test results available
  • Limited product catalog at this time
  • International tracked shipping package arrived in thin, damaged box

About the Company

Established in 2019 in the UK, Nature & Bloom was founded after Ahmed Mir noticed how popular CBD was getting in Europe. He experienced firsthand the challenges that consumers face in their efforts to find a transparent and credible CBD brand.

Customers can meet the Nature & Bloom team online through the “Meet the Team” link on the main menu. Here, buyers can read profiles of each team member, along with finding social media links to their personal pages, such as LinkedIn.

Transparency

While this company claims to be “committed to transparency,” and they provide all pertinent CBD potency lab test results, Nature & Bloom falls short at offering consumers a comprehensive view of their purity testing for contaminants.

Online, they advertise heavily that none of their products are sold without three sets of fully accredited, independent third party lab reports. Nature & Bloom repeatedly boasts that a minimum of two separate sets of lab tests are performed throughout the manufacturing process by their hemp suppliers, before the company obtains a third round of testing before sale. However, the test results concerning purity are not accessible at this time.

Accuracy

Independent CBD testing is another important quality and safety control measure to ensure that the labeled CBD and THC matches the final contents. The test results posted online were easy to match exactly to the batch numbers on my product labels, using the convenient “Third Party Tests” link under the “Resources” tab online:

Customers can also scan the QR code available on each product’s label, and they’ll be taken directly to the lab results on the main company website to enter the batch number clearly listed on the label as well, along with an expiration date. The lab report for my batch of their 500 mg Day Drops tincture tested with a 7.7% variance in CBD with 538.7 mg. There was a non detectable THC level. In their recommended serving size of 50 mg per 1 ml dropper, 53.8 mg were measured. There are 10 servings per bottle.

Their 1 gram Gelato crumble was labeled at 978 mg. The lab reports showed a 0% variance in CBD content at 977.9 mg, with a total of 0% THC. These two products are well below the 10% variance allowed, but neither of these products were tested for microbes, chemicals or other contaminants so results are not listed on the lab reports at this time.

The 500 mg cooling muscle gel tested at 560 mg of CBD, which represents a 12% variance from the label, slightly higher than the allowed 10% variance. Each pump equals approximately 10 mg of CBD with 50 pumps average per container, and the lab reports showed 11.2 mg of CBD in the sample. The THC level was non detectable. This product was not tested for solvents, residues, heavy metals, or other contaminants either.

As noted here, the accuracy variances for the Nature & Bloom products examined were each around the 10% variance allowed for potency, with one slightly over, but these products were not purity tested for all standard contaminants, to the best of our knowledge.

Reputation

Nature & Bloom was independently founded in 2019 by Ahmed Mir to provide quality CBD to consumers seeking verified, third party tested products, backed up by outstanding customer service. This company decided to incorporate international shipping within months of opening, due to the high demand of consumers outside of the UK asking for Nature & Bloom’s CBD products to be shipped to them.

The company positively responded by expanding their shipping beyond the UK. They now service several other countries, including the USA. Nature & Bloom have earned a reputation for accuracy in labeling through several rounds of third party testing, and operate in a GMP certified facility.

Manufacturing Process

They are a legal, authorized grower of premium organic hemp that contains pure, PCR hemp oil. Nature & Bloom sources top quality hemp from farms in Switzerland and the United States, and each product lists specifically where the hemp in that product was sourced from.

They pride themselves on having organic, non-GMO, pesticide and herbicide free hemp. Nature & Bloom also operates in a GMP certified facility that is located in the UK. They use a supercritical CO2 extraction process for all of their products to safely remove cannabidiol from their organically grown hemp. Unlike harmful chemicals like hexane or propane, CO2 is a more natural way to extract cannabidiol using the physics of pressure and temperature.

All of Nature & Bloom’s CBD products are formulated with easily digestible, organic MCT oil as the carrier which is scientifically proven to allow maximum absorption of CBD by the body.

According to the company and corresponding lab reports, they do conduct independent third party lab testing for all products to validate the potency, so that the CBD amount on the label matches the contents of the bottle. As noted earlier, the company claims repeatedly throughout the website to test for all foreign contaminants, but these results are not posted online, to the best of our knowledge.

Range of Products

They offer a premium quality line of broad spectrum CBD. Their products are available in tinctures or drops, gelcaps, topicals, and a natural or terpene blended concentrate “crumble,” to be dabbed, vaped, or inhaled after heating.

Terpene Blend Concentrate Crumble

According to the company website, terpenes are organic compounds produced by plants and found across nature. These composites are what gives cannabis its taste and aroma, along with specific smells. Terpenes have their own intrinsically natural effects. When combined with their quality organic hemp CBD, Nature & Bloom instructs consumers that these terpenes can “work in partnership” to produce or mitigate the effect of the CBD.

With their concentrated Anytime, Day, and Night CBD crumble products, Nature & Bloom offers the ability to infuse strain specific terpenes into the Natural crumble, for individualized taste and desired effects. Their terpenes are sourced from a U.S. manufacturer in Oregon, are CO2 extracted, and are processed in a GMP facility.

*Product note: “The terpene profiles suggested above are based solely on the terpenes that Nature & Bloom CBD derives naturally from hemp, which is always a sativa.”

Buying Experience

The Nature & Bloom website was easy to navigate from the main menu, and each product page includes comprehensive information concerning CBD potency, ingredients, suggested uses, and links to the third party lab reports for each corresponding product. If consumer questions arise, their customer support team can be contacted through an online messaging portal or via email.

Customer service was contacted using their online “Contact” form concerning where to locate the COA hub for their products. Their team replied on the same business day with the information requested. The comprehensive “Third Party Tests” link is located at the bottom of every page on the main website:

Nature & Bloom currently ships internationally to the UK, EU, Switzerland, Cyprus, and the USA. The company notes in the FAQ and Shipping sections that if they currently don’t deliver to a customer’s country, then an email or message should be sent to customer service, as they are actively expanding and continually updating their shipping program.

If your order is subject to customs charges, the company clearly advised that these fees are paid by the customer. Same day shipping is guaranteed for orders placed before 12 p.m. local time, Monday to Friday; otherwise, the order will ship the next day via tracked or untracked Royal Mail. Untracked mail costs approximately $13 USD, and usually arrives in 7 to10 days. Nature & Bloom also offers tracked shipping, which takes about 5 to 7 days to arrive, and costs around $17 USD. Total shipping cost, excluding any customs fees, will be calculated before checkout.

The order arrived in a flat, brown box within 7 business days, and it had tracking. The plain package received was discreet. The products were securely packaged inside, but the thin outer box for this international shipment was somewhat dented. Even with tracking, some of the order contents were lost along the shipping route, and a note was included in the box from the receiving post office that explained the situation concerning missing contents and what steps should be taken next.

Products Reviewed

Gelato CBD Crumble, 978 mg

Their Gelato crumble was labeled with 978 mg. The potency lab reports showed a 0% variance in CBD content at 977.9 mg, with a total of 0% THC. This is an inhaled product. This CO2 extracted, broad spectrum product, however, was not tested for microbes, chemicals, or any other contaminants, according to the lab reports accessible online at this time.

This concentrated CBD product is solid and a bit spongy in texture for easier consumer use. It is a milky white to light yellow color and, as the name implies, crumbles easily with applied force. Users are then directed by the company to dab, vape, or otherwise heat the product before inhalation. The company also suggests adding it to creams to create topical CBD products.

Day Drops, 500 mg, 10 ml, 50 mg per 1 ml serving size

The lab report for my batch of their 500 mg Day Drops tincture tested with a 7.7% variance in CBD, containing 538.7 mg. There was a non detectable THC level. In their recommended serving size of 50 mg per 1 ml dropper, 53.8 mg were noted. There are 10 servings per bottle.

This product is nearly translucent in appearance and thicker in viscosity than most typical tinctures currently on the market. This broad spectrum product is formulated using CO2 extraction and blended with MCT oil for maximum bioavailability in the body. No lab results regarding the purity of these tinctures were available at this time. This product is for oral or sublingual use only.

Cooling CBD Muscle Gel, 500 mg, 50 ml, 10 mg per 1 pump serving size

The topical 500 mg cooling muscle gel tested at 560 mg of CBD, which is a 12% variance from the label. Each pump equals approximately 10 mg of CBD with 50 pumps average per container, and the lab reports showed 11.2 mg in the sample. The THC level was non detectable. This broad spectrum product is recommended by the company for external, topical use only, and is CO2 extracted.

Nature & Bloom suggests applying to skin evenly for a moisturizing and replenishing effect. It is listed online under the “Skin Care” main menu heading. This cooling gel was white in color and has a somewhat thin viscosity, making absorption through the skin more effective. Tea tree, peppermint, eucalyptus and Vitamin E oils are found as additional ingredients, and these serve to add to the cooling sensation experienced by the consumer. This product was also not tested for solvents, residue solvents, heavy metals, or other contaminants.
